Van Insurance Customers Opt For Safer Vehicles
Many van insurance customers are opting for Fiat commercial vehicles, claims the automaker.Fiat revealed that demand for its second hand models at auctions are selling well because of interest from fleet managers and the continued attraction for buyers.
Figures shows that models such as the Ducato 33, Scudo Panorama and Doblo Maxi attracted high bidding compared to valuation guidelines – suggesting that many drivers are willing to pay a premium in order to secure a Fiat van.
“These prices reflect growing demand in the market place for Fiat Professional products and an increasing trend for dealers to purchase vehicles at significantly higher than trade guide prices,” explained Fiat Group used vehicle remarketing manager Simon Wheeler.
A new CO2 van database has been compiled by the Department of Transport to encourage van insurance customers to switch to more eco-friendly vehicles in a bid to reduce their carbon footprint and lower their running costs.
This is a common misconception that only commercial van needs insurance but this is not a fact rather noncommercial private van insurance is important for anyone who drives a van. It’s not just people who need small business insurance who also need van insurance. Sometimes extra coverage may also be necessary for some people who use their van extensively. So if you drive the children of others to school or football practice in your van or if you keep some household goods in it for extra storage then also it can be beneficial for you.
Before opting for van insurance always check whether you need a comprehensive coverage or only the basic legallyrequired plus a bit more. If you have an older van comprehensive may cost you more than the van is worth. Generally if your van is worth less than ten times a sixmonth comprehensive insurance premium payment you don’t need comprehensive coverage.
