Big Foot Relay. Have the children get two shoeboxes with them. Tape the lids onto the corners, then cut a one-inch-wide and four-inch long slit in each top. Have the contestants slip their feet into the slits in the boxes and race.

Batty Bowling. Recover a number of trivial or odd tokens that can be knocked over by a ball, such as a plastic milk carton, a candle holder, a stand-up doll, a plastic vase of blossoms, a pizza box, a column of bare cans, an umbrella stand, an empty oatmeal container, and a book. Draw them up like bowling pins and let the bowlers try to bang them over with volleyballs, tennis balls, or golf balls.

Cross Step. Draw a ten-by-ten grid on the sidewalk or patio with chalk. Have each player stand on a different square. One at a time, each player must move to a new square after crossing out the square she or he was formerly standing in. The illusion is that players cannot step into a square that is occupied or crossed out. If a player cannot move to a fresh square, he or she is out. The game continues until one player is left.

Kill the Cockroach. Carve Up the actors into 2 teams. Line them up, one in front of the other and set an odd object in front of the first players in line. They must kick the object across the yard and the across the end line to win a point for their team. Kick things like a pillow, empty can, a sock, and so on.

Modern parents have specific ideas about the comfort of their children. They want the newest, trendiest, safest items available for their babies. This is of importance when you are out shopping for a pram or pushchair.
Normally considered to be two completely separate devices, prams and pushchairs are intended for newborns and toddlers, respectively.
It is expensive for a new parent to have to buy both a pushchair and a pram, so many manufacturers have created models which combine both items and adapt to your child as he grows.
To avoid the purchase of both a pram and a pushchair, many parents opt for the hybrid type of pram.
If this is your first baby, then chances are that you are a bit lost in regards to what sort of qualities a decent pram or pushchair should have. You can find a pushchair available in a variety of brand names, styles, and models with many different functions; they are all presented as the best one.
Before purchasing a pushchair the comfort and support the seat offers much be considered. Especially babies need adequate support to their heads and bones to develop normally, and this is crucial in a good seat.
Make sure the pushchair seat is well padded and supports your child’s back well and keeps their head in line. What is the function of paddling in a push chair? It protects the kid from any shock when it goes on an uneven ground.
It is the prime necessity for all parents to depend on trusted online that purchasing pushchairs for their children is the best.

Parents bring up their children in different ways. While some prefer rearing their children the way their own parents brought them up, others attend classes or read books. Strategies used by parents while raising their kids are termed as parenting styles. Since the 1920s developmental psychologists have been analyzing various parental styles and their impact on child development. Parenting styles are also widely discussed on various parenting websites.

Based on extensive research over the years, four main parenting styles have been identified as follows:

Authoritarian parents expect their children to conform to parental rules and directions without questioning them. Children brought up in this way generally lack social independence and rarely take the initiative in discussions.

Indulgent parents do not have any behavioral expectations from their children. They are more responsive to what the child wants and indulge the child as they want to avoid any kind of confrontation. Indulgent parents can be categorized into those who are more focused and committed to the well-being of the child and nondirective parents who are less conscientious.

Authoritative parents expect certain standards of behavior for their children but do not restrict them otherwise. This parental style encourages children to be independent and supports them rather than taking punitive action. These children are more likely to be socially responsible and cooperative.

Uninvolved parents are not very responsive to their children and do not demand much of them. They do not set any limits for their children and in extreme cases this parenting style could be both neglectful and rejecting.

Parental styles forecast how a child is going to fare in social interactions, at his studies and psychosocial development. Children of authoritative parents are generally more competent than those who are non-authoritative. Children of uninvolved parents do badly in all aspects. Children with authoritarian parents tend to get average results in school but may exhibit problem behavior and have lower self-esteem and social skills. Children of indulgent parents generally exhibit problem behavior and do not do well in school but are high on self-esteem and have good social skills.

During university graduation ceremonies, students may wear adornments of different kinds for personal reasons or to signify some form of achievement. One type of these adornments includes graduation honor cords. These are twisted or bound strands of threads that are rope-like and have tassels at either end. They are usually awarded to student’s that have performed well by honor societies. The cords may also distinguish affiliation, special designation or service organizations. They are usually given in pairs, with the two cords knotted at the middle to hold them together. Graduation honor cords are customarily accompanied by the official graduation gown, cap and hood. In some instances the cords may be worn to separate events without the graduation attire.
Some institutions may award sashes or medallions in place of Graduation honor cords . The cords, however add elegance to the academic dress and they have more presence as a sign of achievement. Each cord measures approximately 60 inches long including the tassels at the ends which measure 4 inches. Colors usually depend on the award, and may include double or even triple color combinations. Majority of the graduation honor cords are made of synthetic fiber known as rayon which may be mixed with cotton extracts.
